Capheaton is located in the middle of Northumberland, giving easy access to the National Park, Cheviots, coast, Hadrians Wall and the incredible range of historic houses, castles and gardens in the county. Newcastle is only twenty five minutes drive, Hexham 20 minutes and Alnwick 40 minutes.
Guests at the West Wing have access to a large garden, woodland walks and there is a hard court available for tennis anytime. There is excellent biking for all ages and we have a secure lockup for all bikes and an outside tap for washing bikes down.
Sir Edward's Lake is over 30 acres and has wonderful trout fishing from the boat provided. Guests are most welcome to fish at extra cost but otherwise can simply enjoy a picnic or walk around the lake. Those interested in ornithology will enjoy watching a wide range of wildfowl and marshland birds.
