Overlooking Sir Edward’s Lake in Capheaton, Northumberland, this is the first of three new cottages in one of Northumberland’s most picturesque and peaceful locations. This end-terraced cottage is called ‘Edward’ and is part of a spectacular conversion of a line of the earliest built cottages in the village. Externally the cottages all retain their original frontages but have been converted to the rear to provide warm, modern and spacious accommodation.
Edward has one spacious double bedroom, complete with enormous copper bathtub, and door opening to the patio area. Cosy living room with wood burning stove and kitchen dining room with fabulous views to the rear of the cottage.
You can book all of our properties together if you are planning a trip with friends or family.
You are welcome to enjoy walks around the Lake, or come and see the gardens at the Hall.
There may occasionally be private functions and events at the Hall so it is probably wise to check with the Estate Office at the time of booking.

Again a great find for us on our trips around the UK. Super well appointed cottage, quiet, clean, in a remote area but within easy driving distance of all the highlights of beautiful Northumberland. If it's discreet luxury and peace & quiet in a place all to yourself you're looking for, this is it!

What a place!! This was so much better than I had anticipated! The cottage is lovely and definitely ticked all the boxes for me. It was very peaceful despite being in a row of three cottages and is much larger than the pictures would suggest. The instructions and communication from the hosts were excellent and very clear. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it!

Lovely couples getaway, even with a couple of cottages around you would never know they were there with how peaceful it is. We messaged Willy & Eliza asking if we could access the gardens and within a few minutes we had a response, when we went into the gardens Willy came to introduce himself and explained the different areas we could go within the grounds. Would highly recommend!!

Fantastic little cottage in a superb location

A stunning cottage with amazing views. It had everything we needed and was so comfortable and very spacious. The complimentary bottle of Prosecco was an unexpected treat. Our dog Lily enjoyed special treats and toys. Her large dog crate easily fitted into the kitchen so she felt at home. There is a wonderful walk across the opposite field and through the gate. This takes you to the lake and wood where dogs can be off leads safely.

What a great weekend away! Unfortunately we only booked for 2 nights and we were gutted when we had to leave. The photos honestly don't do this place justice. The thoughtful touches such as dog bed, treats, prosecco were a lovely surprise! Situated in a lovely village in beautiful countryside it's really quite idyllic!

I couldn't have been happier with my stay in the Lakeside Cottage Edward. The only downside was I didn't book it for longer as there is an abundance of things to see and do in not only the surrounding areas but Capheaton itself too. The cottage is beautiful the interior design was simply incredible and clearly had a lot of thought and attention put into it, the pictures do not do it total justice, it has a cosy yet spacious feel combining the old with the new. It's hard to sum up just how astonishing this place was in just this review but I can say I will be booking again as soon as possible. Thank you to Willy and Eliza for giving us the best start to summer.

We stayed in the Edward cottage. It has a lovely feel about it and is very spacious for two. Capheaton is a lovely quiet and peaceful small village with nice walks from the door step. Well worth a visit if you need some quiet time.

Just returned from a wonderful relaxing stay in Capheaton. Edward is a fabulous cottage with every home comfort. Mrs L particularly enjoyed the huge copper bath. And lovely to meet Willy and Louise too.

Idyllic scenery, outstanding location, thoughtful touches, fantastic cottage... couldn't really have asked for more... highly recommended we'll be back!

An immaculately clean, luxurious property finished to an outstanding standard. Beautiful designer kitchenware, interior design is elegant with lots of thoughtful touches, even our dogs had their own dog bed, toys and a tin of treats. The surrounding views from the front of the property overlook a stunning lake and from the rear of the property across fields. We enjoyed a walk around the gardens at the Hall and Jane the Head Gardener was very friendly and knowledgeable telling us of the history of Capheaton Hall and its gardens. We would highly recommend a stay in this property for its beautiful location and a hint of luxury.
